Can a handler using a wheelchair compete?

Yes. If you look at the rules, the area from the blind to the ring and from the ring gate to the start box must be handicap accessible. We do not promise that every part of each course will be wheelchair accessible; the sizes of the rings prohibit that.

Thank you, good news.  We have a girl with MS that wants to run her dog but feels she is going to end up in a wheelchair.

One more concern here. The rules say an assistant cannot restrain the dog, interact with the handler or accept a rat tube.  How would the person in the wheelchair get the rat?

The person in the chair can either leave the tube in place (if the dog will not work the tube in a way which could harm the rat) or call the dog to them for restraint.
