I’m planning to attend the TBD CATC Regional and want to build a practice hurdles course to competition specs. I’m not clear on the following:

Are collars allowed during the run (for start line restraint), or do dogs run naked as in other events?

Are bump jumps the only acceptable construction for jumps, or are standard jumps set at 4” acceptable?

Would you typically have a small fenced area similar to a start box behind the course start line?

Hi Mike, this is Kristi from CATC.  We are planning on a fenced in area.  Both ends of the hurdles run area are going to be secure.  The jumps can be a 4inch high jump- like an agility jump.  We will be using a 4inch PVC tube, it will be on the ground and secured so it won't roll everywhere.  I do believe the dog will run naked.

Mike- I was mistaken- rules state the dog can wear a collar in hurdles
